Where to SUP

The Quay Ballina, River Moy and Belleek Forest Park all combine to make this one of the most outstanding areas for stand-up paddling in Ireland. The Quay, Ballina offers a safe and sheltered environment to learn and enjoy this amazing sport. The Forest Park offers both shelter from the wind and elements and the most incredible backdrop for your paddle, bringing you closer to nature and the wildlife of the area, than you could possibly imagine. The Quay is tidal and leading up to the high tide it is possible to paddle up-river under the bridges and into Ballina town and the famous Ridge Pool. The River Moy stretches for 10km between The Quay and Enniscrone, and for accomplished paddlers offers an outstanding place to tour, down-wind, race or just explore.

Enniscrone Pier is a perfect place to learn and develop your SUP skills. The harbour area offers a contained and safe environment as well as providing shelter from certain wind directions. The bay and beach offer the opportunity for paddlers to further develop their skills in a more open and exposed environment and also to progress into Surf SUP. Killala Bay offers crystal clear water and a variety of sea life including seals and dolphins. The coastal area offers some amazing paddling between Enniscrone, Killala and our second base at The Quay Ballina, as well as the Estuary and Bartra Island. They are happy to tailor custom tours throughout this area and beyond along the beautiful Sligo and north Mayo coastline.
