Foxford RiverFest takes place from August 23rd – 24th 2019

The fantastic annual family-oriented Foxford RiverFest offers a wide range of activities and entertainment for adults and children alike, and is a wonderful, warm celebration of the River Moy and the beautiful surrounding countryside of Foxford.

2019 as usual sees a jam-packed programme of free events on offer for all the family, including the return of some very popular activities and competitions from previous years, as well as many new events that have been added for 2019.

Excellent Events for all the Family

The Festival opens on Friday 23rd August.  Locals and visitors alike will have the chance to experience angling activities with GAIA and the Moy Trust, cookery demonstrations, falconry, Irish artisan crafts and demonstrations, talks and walks about nature and biodiversity and much more.

Each evening on the RiverFest Stage there will be live music. After the day’s festivities, why not venture into Foxford and enjoy the atmosphere in one of the many friendly pubs where live music will feature also?

Cannonball Quay Festival, Ballina – 7th – 8th September

Originating in Ireland, Cannonball is the most unique super car fraternity in the world and this September, the world-famous convoy of 190 supercars and novelty cars will once again blaze a trail around the country, bringing with it the sophisticated style, the glamour of the supercars, the fun and comradeship on the road, the colours and joy of the carnival-style masquerade to towns around Ireland, while raising money for its charity partners.  The Cannonball Run will stop in Ballina on the afternoon of Saturday, 7th September, and around this, the two-day Cannonball Quay Festival will take place on 7th and 8th September 2019 at the Quay, Ballina.The cars are due to arrive into Ballina around 3pm on Saturday 7th September and will make their way through town to arrive at the Quay around 4pm, where they’ll stop for an hour or so.Over the weekend, expect lots of live music, water activities, street entertainment, fun, family activities, food, workshops, water safety demos, an air show and a fireworks display!
