Foxford streets welcome visitors and provide backdrop to competitions

The town can expect to welcome over 1,000 visitors over the two weekends during which hundreds of contestants will take part in competitions in Irish music, song, dance, language and storytelling. The dancing competitions take place on Bank Holiday Monday 7th May 2018 and all other competitions on the weekend of the 12th/13th of May 2018.  The competition winners go on to represent Mayo at the Connacht Fleadh Cheoil, while the Connacht winners will advance to the All-Ireland Fleadh in Drogheda in August 2018. A full schedule of events will be published in the run-up to the Fleadh.
