This August sees the inaugural French Mayo Festival take place in Ballina, Co. Mayo.
The two-day festival takes place on the last Friday and Saturday in August (26th – 27th), and aims to build on the unique historical connection enjoyed by Mayo with France, which dates from the landing of General Humbert in Kilcummin, near Killala, in 1798.
Organised by Ballina Chamber, the festival showcases the music, food and culture of the France and Mayo.
Come and watch the pageantry and sample a taste of France along the Wild Atlantic Way.
To help celebrate, Twin Trees Hotel and Leisure Club is offering a 2 night stay for two with bed and breakfast and dinner on one of the nights from just €149 per person.
